Re: Balancing Pool Consumer Allocation 2003

As per the Balancing Pool Allocation Regulation, each year the Balancing Pool is required to determine whether any excess or shortfall of funds in the Balancing Pool account be allocated to, or provided by, electricity consumers.

We have forecast our cash requirements and financial position for 2003 and expect that the Balancing Pool will be in a neutral funding position. As such we are advising that there will neither be a consumer charge collected nor a rebate paid in 2003.

The allocation will be reviewed annually in 2003 and all years thereafter.
