Sale Closing Date For Clover Bar Contracts Rescheduled
The due date for final bids in the sale of four, 157 MW unit-specific power contracts related to the Clover Bar Power Purchase Arrangement (PPA) has been rescheduled to the first week of July 2002. The contracts will transfer control of the offer strategy for the Clover Bar units to successful buyers by August 1.
This is a change from the original Market Achievement Plan II (MAP II) schedule that called for final bids for these contracts to be received early in June. The new schedule allows the Balancing Pool to revise the Clover Bar contracts to incorporate feedback from consumers and prospective buyers.
MAP II also involves the sale of Sheerness and Genesee PPA-related contracts in 2002. The schedule for these sales processes has not been affected:
- Sheerness - closing bids by August 30; contracts effective October 1; and
- Genesee - closing bids November 15; contracts effective January 1, 2003.
